Paul is an active mountaineer, walking, mountain biking and climbing whenever possible.  For over twenty years now he has been involved in Outdoor Education, delivering a wide range of experiences and challenges for schools, as well as many other organisations and groups,  of all ages, ability and backgrounds.  He holds National Governing Body qualifications in Mountain Walking (Winter ML), Climbing (Rock Climbing Instructor), Mountain Biking (Trail Leader), Archery (Archery Instructor Award) and is licenced through the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA).  Paul is an Approved Activity Provider for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and is currently working with groups at both Bronze and Gold level who are progressing toward their expedition qualifying venture next year.  Paul is also an Accredited DofE Assessor and works with many DofE Units and Groups.


His personal achievements include an un-guided ascent of Mont Blanc (3rd attempt!), and other 4000 metre peaks including Gran Paradiso, Toubkal and several in the Atlas Mountains.   In 2014 he joined a group trekking in Nepal and managed to summit Mera Peak (6480m). He returned to Nepal in 2018 to join a group journeying in a very remote part of the Himalayas in the shadow of Dhauligiri and the Annapurna range.  Closer to home he finished in April 2018 the last of the Munro's (Scottish peaks over 3000 feet - 282 in all!)
